CHRIS HANI CHESS ASSOCIATION is back with a blow. On the 27th of July, Inxuba Yethemba Municipality graced us with a big tournament that was hosted by Forever Knight Chess club by the one and only Leader and founder of the Club, Khanyisile Majiba.
History was made as this event was the first open tournament the club has ever hosted, and the first chess tournament in Inxuba in over a decade. We saw great battles on the board, caught up with old teammates, and created bonds with new faces.
Special thanks to the Club President and Tournament Organiser, Khanyisile Majiba, for putting together such a special experience. We would also like to thank the Chris Hani Chess Association and its president, Mr. Luzuko Ndinise, for supporting this initiative and guiding our club into a new era.
Most importantly - we all came together for the shared goal of uplifting chess in our community. If you are a chess player in Inxuba, feel free to call the Forever Knights Chess Club home. As far as tournaments are concerned - more is yet to come!
